Founded in 1930, the School provides a rigorous, global curriculum in academics, arts, athletics, and the outdoors.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Fountain Valley School seeks experienced and dynamic educators for a high school science position. This position reports directly to the chair of the Science department, and is responsible for teaching classes to students in 9-12 grade.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</strong></p><p><strong>Teaching Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Teach 4 sections of high school science</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to foster sustained collaboration and professional growth within a department</li><li>Show an appreciation for the craft of teaching along with a passion for science as a discipline</li><li>Interest in and ability to teach in two disciplines (ideally ecology, and one of chemistry, biology, environmental science, or&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;physics). This position blends classroom instruction, instructional coaching, and hands-on technical support to ensure students and faculty have the skills, tools, and confidence to use technology creatively, ethically, and effectively.<strong>Key&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with the Technology Department and Academic Programs Team (APT) to identify the essential growth of the school in the areas of technology integration and instructional innovation. This unarmed position is preventive and community-oriented in nature and does not function as law enforcement. Instead, the Officer serves as a visible, trusted presence supporting student life, daily campus operations, and a culture of safety through proactive engagement, observation, communication, and early intervention. Reporting to the Risk Manager/Security Supervisor, the Campus Security Officer works closely with Facilities and other campus partners.
